NATURAL CORAL ROCK FOR AQUARIUM – 20 TO 70 CM SIZE

Coral rocks are excellent for marine and African Cichlid aquariums, acting as natural biological filters, providing essential hiding spots, and buffering pH to higher, more stable alkaline levels (7.8–8.4 ). Popular options include dry reef rock, shelf rock, and aragonite-based limestone, which can be bought dry or “live” (pre-seeded with bacteria). They are generally not recommended for soft-water freshwater tanks. Benefits and Water Chemistry Biological Filtration: Billions of bacteria colonize the pores within the rock, breaking down toxic ammonia into less harmful nitrates. pH Stability: Because they are calcareous, these rocks slowly release calcium carbonate, helping to maintain an alkaline environment (high pH).
